Students go to school on Valentine’s Day, are shocked when they see what’s on their lockers

Valentine’s Day can be a lovely time of the year, but it can also leave some people feeling lonely and singled out. One anonymous student at Troy High School in Ohio decided he didn’t want anyone at his school to feel that way this year, and so he did something truly incredible.

The student crafted 1500 origami hearts and taped them to every single locker on February 14th with a note- “You are loved.”

The student had reportedly been working on the project since September, and a faculty member at the school noted explained, “these are individually hand written origami hearts that this person started working on back in September. This person has been secretly storing them in their closet at home to surprise everyone today.”

The story quickly went viral across high schools everywhere, and other schools across the country were inspired by the love. Oswego High School also tweeted a photo of another student that was inspired by the actions of the anonymous Ohio student.

High school can be a cruel place for some, and moments like these showcase that kids can be warm and loving towards each other when they try. This is a beautiful act by an incredible student, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for this anonymous student!
